It's a Halo fanfiction (possibly soon to be official fiction?) written by our very own ɤTriggerRhapsody. From what I've heard, it's very, very good. She's gotten a message from Bungie even, saying they want to see more, so something's going right. In any case, check out the website; there's not much to see yet, but might as well register for the forums during the wait for the first chapter, which would be due Sunday.

Also, I'm thirsty.

Indestructible and finals....and PC problems

First off, Disturbed's new album, Indestructible, was released yesterday. I had the special edition ordered, and I have to say, wow. This thing is beautiful. The artwork is just absolutely top-notch; the attention to detail and the lighting are fucking amazing. The music completely kicks ass, too. It was completely worth it. :D

Also, it's that time of the year.....finals. They're the last chance I get to raise up my grades, so I really need to bust my balls studying. It would really suck having to take summer school, but I guess that's what I get for sleeping in class all the time.

And another thing. My disk drive just got royally fucked. When I got Indestructible, I wanted to get it on my computer so I could add it to my playlists. Well, my drive's never been able to read CDs for some reason or the other (only DVDs), so I decided I was going to look into the problem. I went to Dell's site and looked for drivers. I checked out the "urgent" section, and found 2 downloads, so I decided to try both. (Keep in mind, I was dumb and hadn't checked what model my drive was)

The first one created a folder in my Dell/Drivers folder and added a couple files, but didn't seem to do anything else. The second one detected I wasn't using the hardware it was intended for and aborted. So after that it still wasn't working.....I decided to check my model (finally), and went to download drivers for that (NEC DVD RW-ND-3530A, if anybody was wondering). Unfortunately, those drivers said that it couldn't detect it either.

And then I got frustrated and tried to play Crysis....only to discover that it won't even read DVDs anymore. I got REALLY pissed, then, and decided to go to the device manager and click the "uninstall" button on the CD drive, in hopes that maybe the driver installing would work again. It didn't, and now I'm fucked. Any help?

BTW, using Windows XP SP2, if that helps.

Well, my uncle's from China; he's been here 3 months now. He still doesn't have an english name. Recently he's been playing a lot of GTA......Now I was sitting at my computer and he was playing GTA, and out of nowhere he says "Hey.....my english name should be Niko."

I don't know whether to be amused or disturbed. XD

On another note, Alizee's new remix of La Isla Bonita is now one of my all time favorite songs. It should be the first song that plays on her Myspace. Oh, and occasionally some ass decides to post some weird Mexican music in the comments, so you might want to turn that off.

If you don't know what Stage6 is, it's a video streaming site much like Youtube. Except it streams high definition videos up to 1080p, meaning the videos look absolutely amazing. However, because of limited traffic or something like that, they're shutting it down. I don't care if you've used Stage6 or not, please sign this petition. It's the internet's hub for high quality, high definition videos, and I don't want to be condemned to watching Youtube quality videos.

Oh, and after you sign it, it'll ask you to pay, but you don't have to. By that step, your comment's been posted already and you can kill the window.
